Exchange is the first precinct to be delivered at Curtin University’s Perth Campus in response to the Greater Curtin Master Plan. Sitting just 6km from the CBD, Exchange will form a new urban heart in Perth’s south.
The precinct is designed to bring together education, industry and community – encouraging and facilitating the sharing of knowledge, ideas and creativity and serving as a catalyst for innovation and progress.
It’s a place to meet, learn, work and live, where people come first.
Construction commenced! Lendlease commenced on site, building our new School of Design and the Built Environment and Probuild commenced enabling works on St Catherine’s College, UniLodge’s Twin Dolphin Hall, Nesuto Curtin Hotel and Zamia Apartments.
2020 was an an intense period of construction across all lots within Exchange, with all buildings topping out in the latter half of the year.
All lots will be approaching completion ready for our operators and tenants to start moving in late in the year.
Exchange will come to life! All buildings will be ready for occupation for Semester 1!

The new developments will be operated in partnership with St Catherine’s College, UniLodge Australia and Nesuto, with Programmed Facility Management also providing asset management services.
The Greater Curtin Master Plan
Curtin has embarked on a transformation agenda, which includes the development of the Perth campus into a collaborative innovation precinct that cultivates a vibrant social, professional and commercial urban community. This vision is articulated in the Greater Curtin Master Plan.
The Master Plan embraces all of the things that make great cities around the world – a diverse population, various accommodation options, ease of transit, a 365 day sustainable economy, art and culture, abundant green spaces and retail, dining and recreation options – mixed with research, teaching and learning and aligned industry partners.
In achieving this vision, the strategic objectives are to:
- Enhance the student experience and the University’s research and innovation capability
- Attract business and industry partners to campus to further integrate research and learning
- Position Curtin and Perth as a core component of a robust innovation ecosystem
Exchange is the first precinct to be delivered in response to the Greater Curtin Master Plan – it is a catalyst for the physical transformation that represents a significant change to how Curtin has traditionally functioned.
